BBC Broadcasts: a special episode
by SIMON HELDREICH
Genesis have had a long and fruitful relationship with the BBC, having recorded numerous sessions both live and in the studio, and their music has been featured on many BBC radio and television programs. Some of the band's most notable BBC broadcasts include their 1972 performance at the Paris Studios, their 1980 performance at the Lyceum Theatre and their 1987 performance at Wembley Stadium.
Genesis' BBC broadcasts have been a valuable source of material for fans of the band. They provide a unique insight into the band's early years and their live performances. They are also a testament to the band's enduring popularity. Now some of those iconic performances have been released in a 5 CD, or 3 Vinyl LP, boxset. Join Simon in this special episode, as he gives his verdict on the release. Is it worth getting hold of? Or should you stick to bootlegs? And just where exactly is Knebworth anyway?
